about jonan keeny

I'm an artist.

It has taken me a very long time to believe that and to accept that and to embrace that, but that is as simple as I can make it.

I've been a creative person for as long as I can remember. Whether it was entertaining myself with toys and games as a kid, writing music, poetry, and songs, or attempting to capture a perfect image with a camera, creation is what I have done, and it is what I continue to do.

I allowed myself to be stifled for a long time. I won't bore you with tales of any of that, but I am happy to tell you that I don't allow it anymore. Life is too short to be what others tell you what, and who, you are. And who knows what and who you are better than you do, anyway?

Nobody, that's who.

So I'll be me.

And you'll be you.

And that, my friends, is enough.

about my world pics

So here's the thing.

Photographers are expensive. Rather than me telling you how much I charge, how about you tell me what you want, we put our heads together, and we go from there. I'm no Ansel Adams, but my skill set has value. You're no John D. Rockefeller, and your budget has limits. Let's chat.

about my dream job

You really want to know?

At the moment, my dream job is photographically documenting your family's trip to Walt Disney World. It can be your first trip or your hundred-and-first trip. It makes little difference to me. Sounds lame, right? But the thing is, that place brings so many people so much joy! And let's be honest: It ain't cheap. And yes, you can pay for all kinds of beautiful posed shots by amazing Walt Disney World photographers.

But my preference would be to catch the moments of wonder that I've seen my children experience. I have a lot of mental pictures of them seeing WDW icons for the first time, but those scenes are what you most likely won't have to take with you after the fact. And let's be real: If you are an adult who embraces all of the amazing things Walter Elias Disney left us, you might want pictures of yourself being amazed and mesmerized by the magic, too! (If a photographer followed me around WDW, I'd just be left with hundreds of photos of me wiping tears out of my eyes. But I digress.)

And did you know that Disney rules prevent me from accepting payment for this service? It's true! So if I'll be there, and you'll be there, I'll gladly shoot some fun and candid pictures of you and your family, 100% free of charge. That's how passionate I am about this idea. Too good to be true? Nope. I just want to be a small part of the magic.
